Citroën was struggling to connect with its UK audience, with a noticeable disconnect between the language used and the people they were trying to reach.
As part of the new C4 launch, Havas was tasked with creating a campaign that reconnected Citroën with its audience - "The French Car That Speaks Your Language." Moving away from technical jargon, the campaign embraced local language, colloquial phrases, and familiar idioms to make the brand feel more relatable.
The approach was simple, both in tone and design, featuring a stripped-back visual system that used Citroën’s iconic chevron logomark to frame messaging while allowing the cars to take center stage.
